If the remote does not change the lighting with the button on top pushed in or out then the first thing to do would be to check the LED remote receiver that connects to a 4 pin cable coming from the lighting board at the top/front of the case on one end, and to a SATA power cable on the other end. These cables usually run out the back where the other cables are and down to the lower area where the power supply cables are. If the receiver came loose from either end, the remote will not work. If the cables are securely connected to both ends of the receiver and the arrows are lined up properly but it still does not let the remote work, then you can check the battery is faced the right way in the remote and make sure there's not plastic barrier on it. If none of that works, then you may need a replacement remote.
