It could be an issue related to the webroot installer, try uninstalling the webroot application using the instructions below and downloading the latest version of the software from webroot's site.


Run the uninstall command for Webroot SecureAnywhere.


For Windows XP:

    1. Click Start, then click Run.

    2. In the Open box, type: "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall

    3. Now press the ENTER key.

For Windows Vista or 7:

    1. Click Start, or the Windows start icon.

    2. In the Start Search box, type: "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall

    3. Now press the ENTER key.

For Windows 8/8.1/10:

    1. Move your cursor to the bottom right of the screen to open the Charm Bar menu. Click Search.

    2. In the Search box, type: "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall

    3. Now press the ENTER key.

        ** Note: The path for Step 2 is for the default location. If you installed the program elsewhere, be sure to modify the path accordingly. Also, if you are using a 64-bit operating system, you may need to change the path to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall

    4. A prompt confirming you are sure you want to uninstall appears. Click Yes.

    5. Depending on your settings, you may be prompted to complete a CAPTCHA form. Fill in this field and click Enter. The SecureAnywhere program will uninstall itself.

    

Then try reinstalling the software again.
